So, leave your worries behind and toast along with the lads during this award-winning show. For entrees, the chef grilled me up some chicken breasts, and Don enjoyed his filet mignon. Perhaps the highlight of the meal though was the aptly named OMG caramel-butterscotch cheesecake.

The ship is still in great condition and you can find all your NCL favorites on board. The one noticeable difference is that Kinky Boots is no longer a main theater production show, which is a bit of a disappointment as it was great. Norwegian Encore is the final ship in the Breakaway-Plus Class, with a gross tonnage of 169K and accommodating just under 4,000 guests at double occupancy.

Here you should see signs guiding you toward the check-in point. Stuffed from dinner, we made our way up to the Observation Lounge to catch some of Archie’s set, this was the only musical act on the ship that we hadn’t seen yet. So, we enjoyed the music, views of Victoria, and some espresso martinis.
Overall, the service on the Norwegian Encore cruise ship was better than we expected and more akin to a premium cruise line. It features a fantastic cast and songs from various genres that appeal to a wide audience. This production show occurred on two nights of our cruise, and you don’t want to miss it.
Not to mention, you need to save room for the “Mason Jar Banana Pudding”. Many cruisers will receive a 2-meal specialty dining package on a week-long cruise as part of the line’s Free at Sea promotion. After all this gaming, we had worked up an appetite, so we headed to lunch at the American Diner. This venue is an up-charge, where you can either pay a la carte or use a specialty dining credit. Since we had already used all our credits, we paid a la carte. Unfortunately though, this was the worst meal we had all week and not worth an up-charge in our opinion.
Personally, we were most interested in seeing and experiencing Alaska’s natural beauty. You will also see two other hot tubs 2 decks above from the main pool deck, but you must be part of the Haven Club. For the days at sea on a Norwegian Jewel Alaska Cruise, it is a HUGE benefit to have a balcony room.
Like our other visits, Teppanyaki on Norwegian Encore did not disappoint regarding the food, service, and culinary mastery. It was the perfect final meal of our cruise, serving up expertly seared steak, seafood, and flavorful rice. For those wanting to truly experience Alaska, its offers up to 14 day sailings with plenty of port visits and scenic cruising. This ship has a variety of sailings, from a couple of different departure points, in addition to land-based tours for those wanting a more in-depth Alaskan experience.
While our meal was good, Le Bistro is probably our least favorite restaurant on the ship.
